Caregiver Needed – Live-In or Overnight Relief – Oakmont We’re looking for an experienced, trustworthy, and personable caregiver to join our team supporting an active 83-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s-type dementia in Oakmont. We About the Role: This is a companion-focused position. She is physically active, does most of her ADLs with light assistance, and swims every other day. You’ll support her by accompanying her to doctor’s appointments, errands, lunch, the pool, and the gym, as well as light cooking and housekeeping. Please only apply if you have hands-on experience with Alzheimer’s/dementia and the behavioral challenges that can come with it, including sundowning. We Are Looking for One of Two Things: Option 1 – Live-In / Room Exchange: (see add under rooms in housing) Free private room with private bathroom in exchange for providing occasional overnight relief to our primary live-in caregiver, who handles the majority of care. Daily involvement would be light — an hour or two of supervision, socialization, in-home activities, or help with household routines. Pay is $20/hr for any additional care a month. You would also sleep there , especially when the Current live in Caregiver needs time off Option 2 – Part-Time Overnight Relief: Paid overnight coverage when our live-in caregiver needs time off — approximately one to two weekends per month plus occasional week-long coverage. Overnight rate is $125–$150 depending on schedule and experience.
